Webflow Optimize alternatives: what to use if you’re not staying on Webflow (2026)

If you were an Intellimize customer, you already know this story… Webflow acquired Intellimize in April 2024, and the product is now Webflow Optimize. intellimize.com redirects to Webflow’s feature page, and the old app is Webflow-branded.

For teams already building on Webflow, that’s good news. The integration is native and the AI traffic allocation Intellimize was known for came along with it.

For everyone else, it raised a question: do I now need to be a Webflow customer to keep using this?

What Webflow Optimize costs, properly

The headline is $299 a month. That’s real and it’s published, which already puts Webflow ahead of most of this category.

But $299 is the entry step on a page-view slider, covering 25,000 page views a month and up to 5 concurrent optimizations. The bands run 25,000 / 50,000 / 100,000 / 250,000 / 500,000 page views, and prices above the floor aren’t shown until you move the slider.

The part that catches people out: Optimize is an add-on and it requires a paid Webflow Site plan underneath it. So your actual monthly cost is the Site plan, plus any Workspace or seat costs, plus $299.

Site plans currently run $15 a month for Basic and $25 for Premium on annual billing. Workspace plans are $19 for Core and $49 for Growth. Add-on seats are $15 to $39 each.

None of that is hidden, and none of it is unreasonable. It just means $299 isn’t $299.

Worth knowing too: Webflow restructured its pricing in May 2026, and has done so more than once. If predictable long-term costs matter to you, that history is worth factoring in.

Where Webflow Optimize is genuinely strong

AI traffic allocation. This is the Intellimize inheritance and it’s the best thing about the product. Rather than you watching a test and calling a winner, it shifts traffic toward the winning variation in real time. For teams who start tests and then forget to check them, that’s genuinely valuable.

Native Webflow integration. Zero implementation friction if you’re already there.

It publishes a price. In a category where VWO, Optimizely and AB Tasty all make you ask, credit where it’s due.

It works on non-Webflow sites via a JavaScript snippet, though that route is quote-only rather than the published $299.

Where people look elsewhere

The stacked cost. If you’re not already a Webflow customer, you’re buying a website platform to get a testing tool.

Ecosystem lock-in. Your testing setup is now tied to your CMS decision. If you ever migrate off Webflow, you’re replacing both at once.

5 concurrent optimizations at entry. Fine for most teams, limiting if you’re running a real programme.

No trial. I couldn’t find a published free trial or free tier for Optimize.

Almost no independent reviews. There’s no dedicated G2 listing for Webflow Optimize, so there’s no body of user feedback to check before you buy. That’s a genuine gap when you’re spending $299 a month, and it’s worth saying that we’re a newer product with the same limitation.

Webflow Optimize vs PageTest.AI

Webflow Optimize PageTest.AI
Headline price From $299/month $299/month
Requires another subscription Yes, a paid Webflow Site plan No
Real entry cost $299 plus Site plan plus seats $299
Entry allowance 25,000 page views, 5 concurrent optimizations 10,000 test impressions, unlimited tests and sites
Works on any CMS Yes, but quote-only off Webflow Yes, WordPress, Wix, Shopify and others
Trial None published 5 days
Money-back guarantee No 90 days, full refund
AI role Allocates traffic to winners automatically Writes the variations for you

Those two AI approaches solve different halves of the same problem. Theirs handles what happens after a test is running. Ours handles the part before it starts, which is thinking of what to test and writing it.

When Webflow Optimize is the better choice

Your site is on Webflow and staying there. Genuinely, stop reading and buy it. Native beats bolted-on and the integration is the whole point.

You want tests to manage themselves. The automatic traffic allocation is better than anything we offer for teams who won’t check a dashboard weekly.

You need firmographic and ABM targeting. Enhanced Match and the Salesforce, HubSpot, Demandbase and 6sense integrations are strong for B2B, though they’re Enterprise-tier.

When PageTest.AI is the better choice

You’re not on Webflow. This is the main one. We work on WordPress, Wix, Shopify and anything else, at the published $299, with no second subscription and no sales call for the privilege.

You don’t want your CMS and your testing tool tied together. Two decisions, two vendors, replaceable independently.

Your bottleneck is coming up with tests. Automatic traffic allocation doesn’t help until someone has written the variations. Ours does that part.

You want a refund if it doesn’t work. 90 days, full refund. Webflow doesn’t offer that.

If you’re leaving Intellimize behind

A short checklist, since this is a migration rather than a fresh purchase.

  1. Export your test history now. Results, winners, lift percentages. That record is the valuable part and it rarely transfers.
  2. Note which tests were still running. Anything mid-flight needs restarting cleanly rather than resuming, or your data is compromised.
  3. Check your snippet. Remove the old one properly, including from any tag manager and caching layer.
  4. Re-run your best previous winner first. It validates the new setup against a result you already trust.

Other alternatives worth a look

Convert.com at $299 billed annually, if privacy compliance drives your decision.

VWO if you want heatmaps and recordings in the same tool, and don’t mind a quote process.

Kameleoon at $495 if you need EU data residency.

The whole category with real prices is in our A/B testing platform comparison.

Webflow Optimize Alternative – FAQs

What happened to Intellimize?

Webflow acquired it in April 2024 and rebranded it as Webflow Optimize. intellimize.com now redirects to Webflow, and the application carries Webflow branding.

How much does Webflow Optimize cost?

From $299 a month for 25,000 page views and 5 concurrent optimizations, priced in bands up to 500,000 page views. It requires a paid Webflow Site plan on top, so budget for both. Enterprise and non-Webflow usage are quote-only.

Can I use Webflow Optimize without Webflow?

Technically yes, through a JavaScript snippet that works with any CMS. But that route isn’t the published $299, it’s a sales conversation.

Is there a free trial for Webflow Optimize?

None published as of August 2026.

What’s the best Intellimize alternative?

If you’re on Webflow, Webflow Optimize itself, because it’s the same product. If you’re not, you want something that works across any CMS without a platform subscription attached. PageTest.AI and Convert.com both fit, at $299 either way.

Spiralyze alternatives: CRO agency or software in 2026?

Spiralyze makes an offer that’s hard to argue with. “30% lift in 90 days. No fee until we deliver.” More precisely: 10 tests, 3 wins, more than 30% lift in your first 90 days, and you pay nothing until they’ve done it. I’ll say plainly what most competitor pages wouldn’t. On risk alone, that’s a better offer than […]

AB Tasty alternatives: an honest comparison for 2026

AB Tasty is a strong platform with a well-liked support team, sitting at 4.4 on G2 across 418 reviews. Reviewers on TrustRadius describe it as better value than pricier AB Tasty alternatives, which in this category is a real compliment. It also has the most unusual buying process here. No published pricing, and no free […]

The best Optimizely alternative: a comparison for 2026

Optimizely is the most capable experimentation platform on the market. I don’t think that’s seriously disputed. Server-side testing, feature flags, personalization, statistical depth, and it all runs at genuine enterprise scale. In 2026 they’ve wrapped the whole thing in “agentic experimentation” branding and shipped an AI variation development agent, and the underlying Web Experimentation product […]
